Lenore, thanks so much! I remember that day well, as I was absorbed in shooting in the wharf area of Portland Maine, when I felt a rush of air (wing-flap) and then the cool but ominous trickle into my ear. A seagull on a nearby piling had taken flight and let one go as I was cocking my head for a shot!
