Description
I love texture and see it as the most basic layer, the armature for or underpinning of "Form." Many times along the path I stumble upon a rock surface so beautifully delineated that its graphic nature seems to "intend" abstraction. This boulder was next to one of the paths in the Sonoran Preserve in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Fascinating capture, Lynda, and I love your description too! When I look at this it gives me the impression that it was taken many miles above the earth's surface...a satellite image perhaps...it's really cool! L/F

Wow, Lynda. I love geology...and this could be a tiny rock or....an aerial view of the earth from space. Lovely! F/L+++

Thanks Nancy. It's a pretty large boulder at the side of the path. The universe is so interesting for things resembling other things, at so many levels.
