Description
Fresh snow adorning a facade of trees, branches and twigs on a cold winter day, makes a delicate web of soft white. This image was shot at Sunken Meadow Park on Long Island, and the ice created a lacy curtain of mysterious beauty that was so magical, I had to try to capture it.

A very wonderful capture, Lynda! Spun sugar candy!!!
Lynda Lehmann replied:
Hi Julie! Yes, very much like cotton candy or silver spun by fairies, over the forest. Thank you for commenting!

Exquisite! I love those rare occasions when the Wyoming wind dies down enough to leave the snow on the branches for a while. Magical and wonderfully composed photograph!
Lynda Lehmann replied:
Dawn, you live in Wyoming! It must be a gorgeous place, lots of space and not crowded and polluted as it is here on Long Island. Right now we have fierce wind, so I can assure you nothing is left on the trees now. But we did have remarkable snow-etched beauty around us for most of the past (very frigid) month. Thanks for commenting!
