Description
Seeing this stairwell caught me up short, with the repetition created by the stripes on the carpet and the uprights. I also loved the division of space and the negative areas. Looking at this staircase brought out the child in me. The one who was fascinated by the spaces in between the monkey bars!

Ahh, true is the artist who sees the beauty in the ordinary of life. This is simply gorgeous--because it is beautifully simple and because it is simply beautiful--much like holding the tiny hand of a small frightened child to give her comfort.

Lynda, I am a fan of staircases and this is such a beautiful composition of color and lines. What a great piece!

I am completely captivated by this photograph. All the lines and spaces, and then the touch of abstract peaking up from the downstairs wall. :) V/F/SU

Lynda, I love it ... talk about repeating elements and geometric lines and angles ... this one's got it all ... plus such joyful colors ... I LOVE it!!!!!! v/f

Thank you Odd! I think the spatial relationship is compelling and sort of balances the busy-ness of all the "stripes." Thanks for commenting!

Mona, thanks so much! I'm happy to hear how you see it and the commonality in how we see it!
